Prejudice

prejudicePrejudice and Discrimination are umbrella terms which cover all of the following: racism, sexism, classism etc.

How many of you out there would never dream of abusing anyone because of their colour, religion, race or creed, but REALLY ENJOY defaming America, Royalty, Homeopathy, Celts, Witchcraft, terrorists, old people, red haired people, celebrities, Anglo Saxons, Hoodies, short people, tall people, fat people, folk music, Morris Dancing mentally ill people people with learning difficulty physical deformities orphans anyone who is different in any way etc?

There is indeed a long list of people it is ‘OK’ to attack quite viciously while still claiming to be a fully paid up, card holding member of the ‘politically correct society‘?

There are many forms of prejudice that are quite fashionable, so they are not named. This makes it very difficult for EVERYBODY to feel safe and protected.

If new Labour had really been determined to break the back of prejudice, they would not have gone for a subset of prejudice, racism, just to make a political campaign for their own purposes.

They would have gone for PREJUDICE - ALL OF IT!

However prejudice is far too politically useful a weapon to lay down, isn’t it?

New Labour, in fact all of the political parties disavow ‘racist’ language, and then in their next breath use exactly the same language to defame each other, but as this is not racism, it’s acceptible.

Duh???????

So politicians are not really concerned with protecting everybody or in preventing prejudice, they simply use ‘isms’ to promote their own favourites in the hopes that the groups they target will vote for them.

The rest are left to suffer until they become politically important enough to ‘name’. Otherwise, anyone can use them and abuse them in complete safety.

In fact it has become ‘fashionable’ to turn on your own and attack them, just to prove how politically correct you actually are!

Duh????????

If you can name your Dragon, you can gain power over it, power to regain your life against the many dreadful abuses perpetrated by our human society as it lurches towards tolerance.

This will be a long lurch because at the moment, so many abuses are allowed, even enjoyed!

How many times do people try to explain they have been abused but find they have no specific name for the abuse they have suffered and end lamely with the ubiquitous ‘If I was black you couldn’t say that…’?

Listen to yourself as you speak and make sure you do not abuse ANYONE FOR ANY REASON!
