Homeopathy Saves Spice Girls Concert

daily starGIRL POWER RETURNS AS FAB FIVE DO BATTLE AGAIN By EMMA WALL and LEIGH PURVES 17.11.07

THE Spice Girls march back into the spotlight with a saucy military routine – but are still miming their songs.

The fab five wowed fans by donning sexy military gear for their first gig in 10 years.

But as Posh, Scary, Sporty, Baby and Ginger reunited to showcase their No1 smash Stop, it seemed they were not singing live, but miming to a pre-recorded track.

But that didn’t seem to bother fans at the Victoria’s Secret lingerie show in Los Angeles, where the girls’ stunning grown-up look had celebs including Enrique Iglesias, 32, and Jason Statham, 35, standing to attention.

“The girls all looked amazing,” said one fan. “If this is a sign of what’s to come the tour will be spicy.

“It did look like they were miming, but it was so much fun no-one seemed to care.”

But Geri Halliwell, 35, was nearly too sick for the Kodak Theatre show with Victoria Beckham, 33, Mel Brown, 32, Mel Chisholm, 33, and Emma Bunton, 31.

“Twenty minutes before the show, she looked green,” said a source.

“Victoria had a homeopath friend who gave Geri arnica tablets and saved the day.”

But Geri’s illness has fuelled speculation she could soon quit. Bookies make Ginger Spice, who walked out in 1998, evens favourite to be the first to go again this time.
