Victor Massol 1808? – 1870? was a Hungarian orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy, and he is mentioned in The British Journal of Homeopathy and The British and Foreign Homeopathic Medical Directory and Record in 1845 and 1855 when he is listed as a member of the British Homeopathic Society.

Hugh Cameron 1810 – 1897

Hugh Cameron 1810 – 1897 (photo used courtesy  of Homéopathe International) MRCS Edinburgh was a British orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy to become a student of Samuel Hahnemann in Paris, and an active member of the British Homeopathic Society and he wrote articles for the The Journal of the British Homeopathic Society in 1845 and 1863.

Charles W Luther 1811 – 1879

Charles W Luther 1811? – 1879? was an Irish orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy, and he was the first person to introduce homeopathy to Ireland in 1839.

In 1848, Charles W Luther and the Sisters of Mercy had instituted a Homeopathic Hospital in Dublin with sixty beds for the treatment of the poor.

Charles Luther was a colleague of Michael Greene, Joseph Kidd, William Barclay Browne Scriven, Arthur de Noe Walker and many others.

Joseph Severn 1793 – 1879

Joseph Severn 1793 –  1879 was an English portrait and subject painter and a personal friend of the famous English poet John Keats.

Joseph Severn exhibited portraits, Italian genre, literary and biblical subjects and a selection of his paintings can today be found in some of the most important and renowned museums in London including the National Portrait Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Tate Britain.

Joseph Severn was a ‘mutual friend‘ of Frederick Hervey Foster Quin and Thomas Uwins. Joseph Severn painted the famous portrait of Frederick Hervey Foster Quin, Richard Westmacott and William Etty playing cards in Naples in 1823.

Joan Severn, a relative of Joseph who was a cousin of John Ruskin, consulted Mrs. Wagstaff.

Thomas Uwins 1782 – 1857

Thomas Uwins 1782 – 1857 was an English painter.

Thomas Uwins claimed to be the oldest lay homeopath in England, and he was an active campaigner for homeopathy and a friend of Frederick Hervey Foster Quin, the first President of the British Homeopathic Society, and Marmaduke Blake Sampson, the Chairman of the British Homeopathic Association, and many other homeopaths.

Thomas Uwins was active in the foundation of the London Homeopathic Hospital, which was established at 32 Golden Square in 1851.

Thomas Uwins was also a friend of David Wilkie.

Augustus Henry Moreton 1804 – 1862

Augustus Henry Moreton MacDonald of Largie 1804 – 1862 was elected as the MP for West Gloucester in 1832, and his brother Henry George Francis Reynolds Moreton, Second Earl of Ducie was elected as the MP for East Gloucester. In 1835, Augustus H Moreton also became the MP for East Gloucester, and he held both seats until 1841.

Augustus Henry Moreton was an active campaigner for homeopathy and a friend of Frederick Hervey Foster Quin, the first President of the British Homeopathic Society, and Marmaduke Blake Sampson, the Chairman of the British Homeopathic Association, and many other homeopaths.

Marmaduke Blake Sampson 1809 – 1876

Marmaduke Blake Sampson 1809 – 1876 worked at the Bank of England and he was the financial editor (1858) and the City Editor (1872City Correspondent for The Times from 1846 – 1871) of the London Times for thirty years. He was also the Consul General for the Argentine Republic in Great Britain and Consul General in London for the Republic of Bolivia.

Marmaduke Blake Sampson was the Chairman of the British Homeopathic Association and active in the foundation of the London Homeopathic Hospital, which was established at 32 Golden Square in 1851.
