Marlene Dietrich and Homeopathy

Marlene Dietrich 1901 – 1992 was a German-born American actress, singer and entertainer. She is regarded as the first German actress to become successful in Hollywood.

Marlene Dietrich was a strong advocate of homeopathy, and she sent remedies to Georges Pompidou. Her personal homeopath was Elizabeth Wright Hubbard.

Florence Nightingale and Homeopathy

Florence Nightingale’s 1820 - 1910 Notes on Nursing was first published in England in 1859 and in America in 1860, and she says:

“Homeopathy has introduced one essential amelioration in the practice of physic by amateur females; for its rules are excellent, its physicking comparatively harmless–the “globule” is the one grain of folly which appears to be necessary to make any good thing acceptable. Let then women, if they will give medicine, give homeopathic medicine. It won’t do any harm.”

Clemens Maria Franz Baron von Boenninghausen and Homeopathy

Clemens Maria Franz Baron von Boenninghausen (1785 â€“ 1864)

was a German baron, lawyer and agriculturalist, who also had contact with Hahnemann and later went on to become one of the major contributors to the homeopathic literature.

His enthusiasm for the subject came from his own homeopathic cure, in 1827, from a serious chronic disease (purulent tuberculosis), from which his doctors gave him no hope of recovery.

He used homeopathy on animals and, in fact, homeopathically treated the animals on his own vast Westphalian estate.
